On April 11th a Solano County SPCA foster volunteer took a couple of animals to Markham Elementary School in Vacaville to visit with the children in the school's ACE program. The animals were a dog named Duke who was at one time a dog at the shelter but has been adopted and is now a working therapy dog. Tagging along was a Bearded Dragon Lizard who is in the SPCA's foster program. The visit was both educational and fun, and the kids and teachers learned a lot about the SPCA's mission and the foster program. The SPCA received these thank you cards from the students and teachers - and we just want to say it was our pleasure!
