Lost and Found Information

As part of our mission, the Solano SPCA helps to reunite lost pets with their owners.

Having your pet come up missing is one of the most stressful events that can happen to pet owners.  Many people do not know to take advantage of all the available resources to find a missing pet.  Shelters are a great place to start.  Check all the shelters not just the one in your town.  People travel, take pets home, and then to  the local shelter.  A cat lost in Winters made its way to the Soano SPCA through a local vet.  It is best to go in person to check for your animal.  Busy shelter staff may see your beloved rat terrier as a chihuahua or lab mix as a pit mix.  Go and check for yourself.  Make sure you place signs in your neighborhood and on your home itself.  Many people prefer to hold to a found pet and look for the pet's home.  Put a lost ad in all the local papers and ask the mailman!!!!!  They are very observant of loose dogs.  This is a list of animals lost and found in Solano County.  If you need to place a lost or found posting please use our Lost and Found Form.

For safety reasons the Solano SPCA will not give out or publish personal contact information except for a phone number (unlees otherwise requested).  If you believe you have located an animal on our list please contact us at the Solano SPCA and we will notify the owners.  We will also publish current clear photos of lost animals.  Please email them to solanospca@castles.com and we will post them.  We WILL NOT post pictures of found pets - it is better to post descriptions and let the owners describe them to claim.
