Guardian Angels

The SPCA of Solano County is looking for Guardian Angels to help us take care of the special needs animals who come into our shelter.

Whether an animal needs heartworm treatments, a surgery to remove a growth or a dental treatment to improve its adoptability, your donation could make the difference of a lifetime.  Donations can be for the full amount needed or partial amounts.  If donations exceed the amount needed for a specific animal, the additional amount will be applied to our general Guardian Angels Fund.

To arrange a donation of any amount to provide for special needs care you can contact the shelter at 707-448-7722 or e-mail solanospca@castles.com.  You can also use the "Make a Donation" button at the bottom of this page to make a donation using PayPal and there is a "purpose" field you can use during check out to descibe how you want your donation used.

Right now the shelter needs additional funds for the general care provided to all animals that become guests at the shelter - vaccinations, tests and spay/neuter treatments.  Below are the costs that the shelter incurs for these standard care programs.  Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

$5 will vaccinate one dog.

$10 will vaccinate one litter of 3 kittens.

$15 will vaccinate and heartworm test one adult dog.

$20 will vaccinate and Felv/Fiv combo test one cat.

$25 will neuter one male cat.

$35 will spay one female cat.

$50 will spay or neuter one dog.
