The Solano County SPCA Survives through the adoption fees from the animals that are adopted and through the generous donations of the people that care about the homeless animals of Solano County. Without your generosity we would not be able to exist. The money collected from donations goes directly to animal care or to special projects in progress at the Solano County SPCA facility. Monetary donations can be sent directly to us at Solano County SPCA P.O.Box 356 Vacaville, Ca. 95696. Donations can also be made via Paypal by clicking the button below.
Where does my donation go?
It is the goal of the Solano County SPCA to find a permanant loving home for every adoptable animal in Solano County. One of the primary reasons that dogs end up in a shelter situation is due to lack of training and education. Many people see the "cute" puppy and do not realize what the true nature of the breed actually is. The cute small Jack Russel looks like it should be a "great size for an apartment" when in reality Jacks are high energy, intelligent dogs that do well in a home that is very active. It is our mission to educate the public and create educational programs that will allow the public to learn with their dog, activities that will make them happy family members and out of shelters.
Due to a generous donation by an animal lover we have been able to create new living spaces for our cats. Our feline residents have now moved into their new living space. The cats now have free roaming rooms to stay in while they wait for their new forever homes. Each room is air conditioned and contains many cat trees with hiding spaces as well as numerous scratching posts. The new building is very light and airy allowing the cats plenty of window spaces to nap in the sun.
If you would like to make a donation for a specific program just let us know. All donations go to the care and welfare of the animals. We could not do this without the support of the community.
